I’ve been in Venice, CA all weekend filming at the original Gold’s Gym. Meanwhile, my DH is back in Utah holding down the fort. Our girls asked him if they could have a Star Wars party. So as I write this they are getting acquainted with the likes of Darth Vader and Chewbacca.
I’m not a sci-fi nut but there’s a lot you can learn about getting the body you want from Star Wars. Here are a couple fun ones:
If you don’t get your butt to they gym your going to end up looking like Jabba the Hut!
All the technology in the world (i.e DeathStar) won’t get you what you want if you don’t learn the fundamentals like Luke did (the Jedi skills of sound nutrition and strength training).
The most important though is this: if you want to achieve something you’ve never done before you need a mentor.
In the first Star Wars, Luke had Obi-Wan Kenobi teaching him the basics of how to be a Jedi. Later in Return of the Jedi he turns to Yoda to take his Jedi skills to a whole new level. If we’re not moving forward we’re moving backward, right? I’ve had many mentors in my path to getting the body I wanted. Each one helped me get to a new level.
